Mick Sargeant – Managing Director
About Me- To date, I have had an enjoyable career in the industry which started in the late 1970’s where I was wearing similar clothes to those my son wears now. I have a project management background, working for a variety of venerable institutions including Liverpool Victoria, NIG and The Prudential. I then worked for 13 years as a consultant, firstly with CMG advising such clients as Legal and General, AXA and Saga and then with The Innovation Group, helping them grow from a start-up to a valuable plc. I enjoy meeting the people in our industry and have made many good friends over the years.
Andrew Passfield – Solutions Director
About Me - I started my working career during the insurance revolution of the mid 1980’s at Preferred Direct. Starting out on the underwriting side I moved into programming where I found my vocation, working my way up to IT Director. In 1996 Mick persuaded me to join him at CMG where I took responsibility for the product strategy and development. In 2000 I joined the newly formed Innovation Group, to run the Technical Consultancy group. I am proud of what we have achieved at IT-Freedom since 2002, where we have grown to become a recognised specialist provider to the insurance market.
Ian Bowen – Business Development
About Me -Immediately prior to IT-Freedom I was a founding Director of the Opus Trust Group where I created an IT insurance division, leading sales of the TIA insurance system into 10 European countries. Before Opus I was a founder and Director of Midas IT Services, an MBO of the IT department of the Dominion Insurance Company. We developed the business as a successful provider of services to the general insurance market. I also served with CMG UK in the London market and Direct Insurance for 10 years before the MBO which is were I met and worked with Mick and Andrew. Outside of the office, Ian plays and referees weekly rugby matches.
Suzanne Congdon – Marketing Manager
About Me - I have over 12 years experience working for enterprise software providers delivering solutions and services to all sectors within the call/contact centre industry, including insurance. I am a broad based marketer with experience of all B2B Marketing disciplines. At IT-Freedom I am responsible for all aspects of Marketing including, lead generation, campaign management, public relations, direct marketing and ongoing communication to the IT-Freedom customer base. I hold a BA in Marketing and am a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Peter Bramhill – Non-Executive Director
About Me - I have worked in the insurance market since 1981 across all sectors; life and pensions, broking, investments, property, the London Market and general insurance. After a spell with a Lloyds broker, I spent the majority of my early years in insurance as a consultant with LogicaCMG. Later on, I was also Head of Personal Lines IT at ITT London and Edinburgh and IT Director at Groupama. Apart from helping IT-Freedom grow, I am now an independent consultant advising the insurance industry on the alignment of technology direction coupled with business strategy.
Steve Scott – Non-Executive Director
About Me - I have known Mick and Andrew for many years and when they first discussed setting up
IT-Freedom, I encouraged them and have enjoyed watching them succeed. I was delighted to accept their invitation to join them last year. I have worked in a variety of capacities in the industry over the past 25 years, notably with Nixdorf Computer, ACT Financial Systems, CMG and The Innovation Group. When not assisting IT-Freedom, I advise a number of growing businesses.
Michael Eve – Non-Executive Director
About Me - I was formerly Chief Executive of AON Risk Services. Whilst at AON we built AON Managed Services Division into one of the largest outsourced claims services providers in the industry. I have been in the insurance and financial services industry for 25 years, following an earlier career in marketing and consulting and since retiring from AON have been working with a number of companies as a consultant. I enjoy helping IT-Freedom shape its' offering and stay ahead of the market.
